Fondazione Paolo Procacci

The Fondazione Paolo Procacci (FPP) was established on March 20, 2008. It is a not-for-profit organization based in Roma, Italy, with the mission to promote initiatives on prevention, early diagnosis, cure, and social management of pain syndromes, and research on health more in general. FPP supports basic, translational, and clinical research that can help the evolution of science. FPP sponsors bursaries for young researchers, and contributes to educate health care professionals with courses, scientific events, and sensitization for general practitioners, different medical specialties and for society in general.
FPP owns 3 different journals: Pain Nursing Magazine for nurses involved in pain management, My Pain for patients in pain, and Advancements in Health Research for young researchers in medicine and biology. Moreover, it has sponsored over 500 different publications in indexed peer-reviewed journals. Considering the incremental publication activities, FPP has decided to open its own Cureus Academic Channel, which represents a potential site of confrontation and scientific discussion for scientists interested in research and especially in pain, pain patients and their care.
